Here at The Anchor UPC we work hard to provide both the physical and spiritual needs of our community. Below you can read details about what ministries we offer at our church and find out how to benefit from those ministries. 

The Anchor UPC food box ministry all started with a vision God gave me as a teenager while volunteering at a local food outreach. This vision and compassion for the hungry in our community is the heartbeat of this ministry.  

The Anchor UPC food box ministry will help feed anyone in need but it is designed to reach struggling families that may not qualify for assistance and also the ones who may be in a tight spot financially. It provides them a food box to help compensate for lack of income or just a struggling time financially by just filling out a simple form with no financial requirements. 

Our goal is to continue with the food box ministry but grow into a food pantry to feed more families in our community. 

We understand we can't feed everyone, but we can do our part by feeding one family at a time.

Here at The Anchor UPC we offer free Home Bible Studies at your convenience! We have various types of bible studies ranging from 12 week studies that cover the entire Bible to 1 hour studies that will help you learn important truths about salvation and living for God.

The Anchor UPC has a college campus ministry at Eastern Kentucky University! We are looking forward to holding many events, on campus and off, tailored to reaching and building a community of College Students seeking after God, and participating in fellowship building events. 

We currently have an on campus Bible Study called Keys to Salvation Bible Study, we hold it in the EKU Library every Wednesday at 2:00pm. We meet in front of Java, and are excited to see you and fellowship in the word of God with you.

The Anchor UPC offers various services to our community. We do back to school events and giveaways, feed the homeless and provide services to help out our local neighborhoods. Community service is the heartbeat of our church helping those in need no matter what it is. We are an Anchor when life is out of control.
